After moving to Berlin Forster began his musical career as a jingle writer for television including working on the popular German TV show 'Krömer - Die Internationale Show' where he worked as a pianist and sidekick for the show's host, comedian Kurt Krömer. In 2006 Forster joined the band Balboa as a frontman prior to signing a solo deal with the German label Four Music.
Forster released his first solo album 'Kartons'in 2012 and in 2014 had his first major chart breakthrough when he collaborated with Paul Würdig, the German rapper better known as Sido. Würdig and Forster recorded the single 'Au Revoir' which became a European hit reaching number two in Germany and Austria. In 2015 Forster teamed up with the German DJ Felix Jaehn and formed the musical project Eff.
